Still Skiing Pow

High Fives and Smiles


With over a foot of fresh snow, and no one at the mountain today, an amazing day was had by all. It wasn't uncommon to see high fives at the bottom of each run, with laughter and ear to ear smiles all day.

High Winds


A storm system is rolling in and create very high winds up on the mountain. That didn't stop us from getting the wind blown snow in Laguna. Michelle Parker hikes with the wind at her back for some good turns.

Split Mission


Today was another beautiful blue bird day. Since today was a transfer day and there weren't many campers we decided to go on an exploratory mission to check out a new zone. We had a small crew and were able to move quickly. The mission was a success and the new zone is lots of fun. Randall Stacy sets the skin track on the way out.

Window view


Riding and hiking everyday can be very tiring. There are days when I wake up in the morning and don't want to get out of bed. However when the view out the window is the sun rising on the mountains in the distance it makes it hard not to jump right up and start getting ready. Sunrise in the Andes.

Staff Party


Another beautiful sunny day allowed us to take a day venture to a run named Staff Party. This run has everything from an open bowl, to pillow lines, to trees, to a bamboo excursion on the exit. Everyone came out of the bamboo with a smile on their face after the great run we just had. Camper Lucas Zelnick completely demolishes the slope.

Reset Landings

Fun in the Trees



It is hard to not to have a good day when the sun is out and there is new snow. Coach Michelle Parker popping through the trees, enjoying the fresh snow from last night.

Camper Lucas Zelnick has been coming into my room day after day begging me to show him photos that we shot and put them on my blog. He is very persistent, and does not leave me alone. To humor him I said I would post his photo.

Blue Bird

Dropping Cliffs

Sunny Day


After a few days of stormy weather it finally cleared and we were able to see the entire mountain again. Took some tree laps early in the day while it was fresh, then headed up high once things started to track out down low.

Volcano



Today was very windy as another storm started to roll in. After going hard for the past few days I decided it would be a good idea to take one off. Here is a shot from yesterday of the volcano that is erupting in Chili.
